A new era of shameless self-promotion has begun. Feel free to follow me on my fancy Facebook page!
Two years ago I started this little blog. I just wanted to try out what this blogging thing is, that everybody was talking about. I expected that nobody would ever read my stuff or click on any links I post, but since I launched it in January 2008 the traffic on my website increased by about 1000 visitors per month in the first year to level off at around 20.000 per month in the second year. That’s a great success and I think it’s time to thank you readers and clickers for your support!
Being sceptical about the whole blogging thing at first, I really saw the use of blogging apart from the fun to share cool design stuff. The blog also serves very well as an archive that makes inspiration more organized and accessible. Personally I guess, being more clear in what I like even kind of helped me building my personal creative character. I don’t want to get too philosophical here though. In the end it’s just a useful and inspiring site to look at and I hope you’ll pay my site some visits in the upcoming years as well, even if I just post from time to time, which by the way I think is a way to ensure quality.
As you might have already seen I have worked on the catgorization. Now you can browse the posts in a more detailed way in the right menu (like the categories Branding or Comic-ish) and look at them by the countries they represent in their tags (see Japan, for example).
This year I’m planning to take the blog a little bit further by including some special feature posts with more information about the artists and inspiring interviews in which I would like to ask unusual questions. Yep, big plans for 2010… I would love to get some comments with thoughts from you about this and what you would like to see improved. And keep on sending your cool links!
Thanks again for your great support.

Finally my favourite magazine Grafik has a nice website.

Information Is Beautiful is an informative blog about beautiful info graphics.

I’m proud to announce that I started a new section in my blog. In the right side menu you’ll find My Favourite Images under “Pages”. I’ll update that page every once in a while with images I find attractive like for example this beautiful cover for Massive Attack by Tom Hingston Studio.

Typographica is an interesting typography site with detailed font reviews.

I like the blog but does it float. They pick images with a similar visual style or topic.

On this site you can browse through a broad collection of typo/graphic posters.

You lose what you don’t hold – you better hold some of these nicely crafted traditional styled bags and accessories by Hard Graft from Austria.

With hand made font you can set type in quite a fun way.

Eduardo Recife from Brazil is still rocking with nicely crafted typefaces, collage style illustrations or drawings. He just launched his new version of Misprinted Type with a lot of free fonts and goodies.

Here’s a useful link for all webdesigners, css code jugglers and typography aware programming geeks. On Typetester you can compare web fonts and see the css codes with it… Wow, my first useful link!
