Stephan Doitschinoff aka Calma is a Brazilian artist combining religious imagery with Afro-Brazilian folklore. You can look at some of his art at  Jonathan Levine Gallery’s page. The film Temporal shows him working on murals travelling through the Brazilian countryside.

Fucking Hell is quite a disturbing film by Jake & Dinos Chapman. Also take a look at some of their artworks on White Cube’s site.

Umeric is so great!

I spent a lot of time with Lonni Wong when we studied in Japan, so I have a strong connection to the photos and artworks she did there. But I think that’s not the only reason why I like her conceptual thought through art.

You probably know the italian street artist Blu from his elaborate wall animations like Muto. His other animations and drawings are no less impressive. In his blog you can see work in progress.

Graydon Sheppard has a special photgraphy style and makes interesting gif animations.

Tom Sachs’ accurately built artworks are very fascinating. For an exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery in Los Angeles for example he built a true to scale model of the first lunar spaceship.

You shouldn’t miss “Things Fall Apart” from Devoid Of Yesterday!

Daft Punk made a movie called Electroma. The story is not revolutionary, but the pictures are impressive and together with carefully picked music a really special atmosphere is created.

For those who like impressive landscape pictures combined with the music of islandic band Sigur Rós, their movie Heima is a great thing to watch.
